Your mission
Klim is looking for a Scope 3 Certification Manager to lead our efforts in agricultural Scope 3 and LCA/footprinting services. You’ll design and implement a strategic certification framework aligned with key standards like ISO 14067, GHGP, SBTi, and Verra Scope 3, turning complex certification needs into impactful solutions for our customers.

Your role will involve validating our agricultural footprinting product under ISO 14067, managing Klim’s Scope 3 methodology development with Verra and partners, and creating innovative certification and reporting solutions.

As our Scope 3 Certification expert, you’ll drive certification frameworks for intervention- and inventory-based projects in agricultural supply chains.

Collaborating with Commercial, R&D, Product, and MRV teams, you’ll ensure our solutions meet compliance standards while delivering real value to clients across both insetting and offsetting.

Your responsibilities:
  • Certification strategy & development: Lead the design and implementation of a flexible, comprehensive suite of certification options tailored to Scope 3, LCA/footprinting and agricultural insetting, with a clear alignment to Klim’s product offerings by year-end.

  • Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain strategic relationships with leading certification bodies and standards organisations, including GHGP, SBTI, Verra, etc. Your proactive networking and industry engagement will position Klim at the forefront of Scope 3 certification trends.

  • Customer-centric solutions: Work closely with clients and the Commercial team to understand their perspectives and interpret ambiguous standards, ensuring that our certification options are both standard-compliant and practically suited to client needs.

  • Offsetting certification involvement: In addition to insetting, take an active role in Klim’s offsetting certification initiatives, ensuring alignment and integration across all Klim projects

  • Project management: Oversee project timelines and tasks to ensure timely, efficient certification processes, especially within Scope 3 and offsetting contexts.

Your profile
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, agriculture, or a related field.

  • Experience with technical aspects of LCA, footprinting, and GHG emissions and removal quantification

  • Experience in project certification management and report drafting, ideally within carbon farming or sustainable agriculture.

  • Knowledge of major Scope 3/footprinting standards, including GHGP LSRG and PCF, SBTI, Verra Scope 3, SustainCert, and ISO 14067.

  • Strategic thinker with the creativity to develop flexible certification options and the ability to network effectively within the certification community.

  • Excellent project management skills, with a proactive, customer-focused approach to managing timelines and expectations.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset and a deep commitment to sustainability and innovation in agricultural insetting and offsetting.

Benefits
  • Opportunity: Be part of our journey from the beginning, working closely with the leadership team to build a new company.

  • Impact: Make a daily contribution to combating climate change, promoting consumer education, and fostering fair conditions for climate-conscious farmers.

  • Autonomy: Take ownership of your projects and enjoy a high degree of creative freedom.

  • Competitive Package: Receive a competitive salary and participate in our VSOP program.

  • Flexible work model: At Klim, we foster a flexible, hybrid work approach and facilitate hybrid/remote work (within Germany). It would advantageous for this role if you live in Berlin or can be present in our office regularly.
