Technical Product Manager - Carbon Models (m/f/d)

Your mission

As a Technical Product Manager at Klim, you will advance our carbon modelling capabilities to new heights - enhancing accuracy, scalability, and compliance with international standards for greenhouse gas accounting and carbon verification. You’ll bridge R&D and business needs by transforming complex methodologies into practical solutions, develop robust data strategies leveraging tools like remote sensing, and ensure seamless integration across teams. Your Responsibilities: 
  • Advance Klim’s Carbon Models: Take our carbon modelling capabilities to the next level by enhancing accuracy, making models scalable to meet diverse partner needs, and expanding them to model agronomic metrics and additional regenerative practices.

  • Ensure Compliance and Flexibility: Drive the development of carbon models that are fully compliant with International Organization for Standardisation (ISO), GHG Protocol (GHGP), and Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) while ensuring they are flexible enough to serve a variety of business use cases.

  • Bridge R&D and Business: Translate complex R&D outputs, like RothC and ISO/GHGP/VCS standards, into business-ready products that meet both regulatory and partner needs.

  • Data Sourcing Strategy: Design and execute a robust strategy for sourcing and integrating diverse datasets, including remote sensing and farm management systems, to enable accurate and scalable carbon models.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with R&D, business, and technical teams to align carbon modelling objectives, ensuring seamless integration into Klim’s offerings.

Your profile
  • Proven Product Expertise: ideally working with data scientists, with strong skills in strategic thinking, stakeholder management, prioritisation, problem-solving, and effective communication.

  • Proficient in defining, managing, and completing software development sprints in fast-paced environments.

  • Strategic thinking and strong prioritisation: to drive the future of our carbon models offering across different markets and evolving regulatory requirements.

  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to convey complex technical concepts to business leaders, clients, and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and shared understanding.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Proven ability to work across teams and align stakeholders on goals and methodologies.

  • Technical Acumen: Demonstrate the proven ability to quickly familiarise yourself with new technical concepts and navigate compliance and scientific frameworks effectively.

  • Language Skills: English fluency is required, and German proficiency is a plus, given our client and farmer base.
